What to Expect
Join us for 6 days of yoga and walking on Bruny Island. To fully disconnect and revel in the wild nature of Bruny Island. Recharge the batteries with Craig providing daily yoga classes and enjoy the wilderness with artist Catherine. Together Craig and Cath have created a week long mindful, slow and reflective retreat in Adventure Bay. Arrive on Friday afternoon for a restorative yoga class dinner and then we have four full days to yoga and to explore, our last day is Wednesday where we will yoga in the morning and then after breakfast head back to Hobart.
Traditionally trained Iyengar yoga teacher Craig will lead you through a yoga practice twice a day. This will give you a chance to stop, reset and re charge.

Connection with nature is one of the best ways to put things into perspective. These walks have been chosen to give us the best of bruny island with the mindset of creativity, perspective and growth.
Meals provided will be fresh, nourishing and made with love. Using fresh ingredients from Bruny Island and surrounds. There is no more to think about. Just enjoy!!!!

What a day looks like in Adventure Bay
Each morning we will set off from our accomodation to the community hall. This will be a short journey of about 2 mins along the stunning beach of Adventure Bay.
Morning practice will start at 7 am and run to 8.30am
After practice we will enjoy a buffet breakfast together with YES of course “good coffee”
Here will will pack our lunch for our afternoon adventures. Depending on the walk organised for the day we might jump in the private mini bus and head out to Queen Elizabeth Bay or the Lighthouse walk at Cloudy Bay. Here we will walk and talk, take in the natural environment, stop for lunch, maybe see the endangered 40 spotted pardalote and more. These walks will be suited to all, but to get the most out of the walks you will need a moderate level of fitness.
Back to camp for a rest and a bit of free time to explore the immediate environment. before restorative yoga from 4.30pm-6pm.
Dinner lovingly prepared and served in the community hall each evening

Who we are
Craig Mackie
Craig has a long term love of yoga. He has been teaching yoga in Tasmania for 13 years and has been practising for over 25 years. He is an accredited Iyengar yoga teacher and has studied with senior teachers in India and England. Craig provides a friendly and inclusive atmosphere in his classes and welcomes beginners. He encourages his students to practice to their own capacity while sensitively dealing with any injuries or conditions they may have.
Yoga TeacherCatherine has long been obsessed with nature and the light of the world. Her paintings reflect the ever-changing patterns of nature in both oil and watercolour. A qualified horticulturalist and accomplished artist, Catherine's work is fresh and detailed, reflecting a life-long love and interaction with the living environment.

Day TwoCoastal Flow- Movement with the ocean
Our first trip will take us to Cape Elizabeth. Here Dot will take us on a walk to Cape Elizabeth. We will keep our eyes out for the 40 spotted pardalote.

Day ThreeLook Forward, take the challenge. Peak Perspective - Elevation and Expansion
After our morning yoga we will walk to the cliff tops of Grass Point. A beautiful circuit walk that leaves from our accommodation. A slow journey with time to reflect on the beautiful nature, maybe get the sketch book out.

Day FourSalt and Spirit - Rest, explore and relax.
Take a break and unwind in the beautiful surrounds of Adventure Bay. Long slow walks on the beach, that book you never get time to read. Jump in the cold waters. Now is the time !!

Day FiveFill the days, look at the sky. Dive in and enjoy
Take in the abundant fresh air, see nature as far as the eye can see. Walk the track that takes you to where you want to be. Our journey today is to the southernmost point of Bruny Island. To view the Cape Bruny lighthouse and the long white sandy beach of Cloudy Bay
